I don't think the keyboard is to blame.  Have you tried another one?

I found a similar problem with a USB keyboard I got.  works fine on my PC.  it's an HP Multimedia keyboard..  with all the extra junk buttons I don't need like Shopping, Finance, People, Help, an HP button.. etc.

But hey, it was only $5.00.   Doesn't work on the xbox at all though  I think it's 'cause it has a built in USB Hub that the keyboard part goes through  before reaching the xbox, and the xbox is seeing the hub instead of the keyboard attached to it.

I have a USB Mouse that works fine on the xbox with the mouse test app, but if I go through the USB Keyboard THEN to the xbox, it doesn't work.

SO:  get a regular standard basic keyboard with no extras and no built in HUB for dasychaining... (or write a USB Hub driver for the xbox and apps)

Hope this helps.  I would like to hear more ont his subject.

I think Timmy is right, I never thought about the built in hub on those keyboards.
