You need to modify your bios to use G.
for the x2 bios use .67

u have to change the boot order of ur bios .(boot from g) u can do it with xbtool

i know this isn't THE answer, but this seems like a good direction to investigate...

i believe i read something about 250g drives and above having problems.  the solution was to use xbpartitioner and format the drive using 32k clusters.  this would then aleviate problems until you had a 512g drive and above.  if i were having this problem, i'd go try to find those threads again...search using: xbpartitioner cluster

again, that's not THE answer, but seems like a good direction to investigate...unless my memory on the subject is totally off...good luck!

it still seems strange that it only has problems with UX and then only when in the 1.0 box...weird...

created a Xbpartitioner boot disk formated with 32k clusters and UX now runs like a champ ... not sure what the problem was ..

But "IT WORKS"!  biggrin.gif  laugh.gif  biggrin.gif

a tb is 1000gb.

Yea it would work as long as you format both drives with 32k, AND it is ide, which i really doubt.
