no you can't use a wmv as the screensaver but that is an awsome idea

Yes, I'm thinking of expanding the screensaver a bit. Maybe spice it up with videos and what have you. I've also thought of adding predefined screen savers other than the bouncing text, like an analog clock...etc. The thing is, the screen saver does more than saving your screen (at least for those plasma/LCD users). While in ss mode, everything is in a reduced state, except the FTP server when a client is connected. If I start adding this capability, that feature may be gone as it will affect the rendering capability. Videos have to be rendered at full speed, otherwise, you'll notice some lags.

But like I always does, I'll find a balance between the two and provide an acceptable alternative. it's just not my priority at the moment as I'm currently busy working on another feature.

@ unleashx just a thought

in config.xml

<ScreenSaver Wait="60" Type="2">

<Video>skin defined</Video>

</ScreenSaver>

in skin.xml

<screensaver>screensaver.wmv<screensaver>

or

<ScreenSaver Wait="60" Type="2">

<Video>C:\screensaver.wmv</Video>

</ScreenSaver>

where it will get the video from the skin in the first option or play a user defined video in the second option.
