Keeps Defaulting To Default Skin

QUOTE (jason6300 @ Mar 17 2004, 05:28 AM)
I have unleashx as a app on my xbox.

On One of my friends I put it as the main dash.
He is exeriencing a random problem:

1. he picks a skin
2. skin runs fine for 10-15 reboots
3. Unleash hangs on boot and says that a problem occured with the skin
and it will default to the default skin.(then boots up)

He is using
X2_4981_fixed Bios.
unleash in the apps folder on f drive with the bios pointing directly to the default.xbe in that folder

The problem happens on different skins not just the same one.

Thanks!

BTW love the Dash!

What version of UnleashX running?  Make sure it is the newest.

If you are using a skin with an intro video, wait for the video to finish playing before turning off the Xbox.

By intro movie whitch do you mean.

1. Turn on xbox
2. video playes (a button skips)
3. dash starts
4. pick game or app
5. video playes ( a button skips)
6. apps starts

7. I may reboot xbox here, or just turn it off, or IGR

8. Repeat

What Video above do I need to wait for?

Intro video, or number 2 on your list. The initialize stage is the most critical section of the dash, or any app for that matter. When the init process is done, then you can turn off the xbox and the dash won't report an error on the next reboot. In short, if you turn off the xbox without seeing the dash render the main menu, the dash will report an error on next boot and won't use the skin you chose.
