I like the Layouts on this dashboard. I also like the built in text editor and File explorer. What will make this dashboard standout is if it has support for the Chameleon Modchip, Has support for the G:Drive like Boxplorer, and governs the ability to use trainers. I already now how to make this the default dash.

Just do this
1. Rename the file "default.xbe" to "evoxdash.xbe".
2. Now copy this file over the file "Evoxdash.xbe" on the C: Drive.
3. Now move the file "Config.xml" that wash with UnleashX onto the C: Drive.
4. Reboot.

Things I'd like to see:
Maybe some fo these are already in I haven't checked lately

FTP access at folder level
Bios flashing
online dash updates
A screensaver that would show news feeds and time date, etc across full screen

I think it'd be the best dash if it wouldn't crash so often. A good dash shouldn't crash when you try to load up a game like Halo or Mafia. It also crashed when I tried to copy a game using dvd2xbox 5.5. Everything worked great on avalaunch, I just liked how UnleashX had a great skin engine and let you put menus anywhere you wanted. That's a great feature. Just fix the bug that crashes your xbox when you try to load games and stuff.

dylan* what release are you using...i havent heard anyone complain of crashes with the latest one...
this dash is near flawless...

the only time I've had unleashX crash, and this was repeatable every time, was when I put a particular preview video in my DOAX Volleyball game folder, and used a skin which supports video preview of games.

when I went over doax in the menu, unleashx froze hard every time. delete the video, works perfectly (and works with all my other preview vids) so its a fault of the particular video I guess. though would be nice if it just didn't display the vid if it was corrupt, instead of crashing but eh..

so the only thing I regularly launch evox for is when I want to launch a game with an evox trainer. otherwise unleashx does everything I need. so if it supported evox trainers somehow that would be awesome and I'd never need another dash ('cept ms dash or thc dash to mess with savegame memory stuff)

oh, and one tiny little thing -

the ftp server, I wish it gave you the current free space on the drive when you do an ls or transfer a file or something, the way evox ftp server does.

if UX was to run an error checking ruteen it would take it forever to load or display the menu or preview depending on when the error checking was done.

so if a video crashes it just replace or delete it.

if you downloaded it fron xbox-skins.net add a reply to the attatched thread to inform people of it and maybe someone will fix it.

actually my xbox freezes alot of times with the new unleash... ive had it freeze with a lot of my apps and games

like it was stated befor, uleash wont effect dvd2xbox or any other game/app because only one xbe can run at one time. so if you are using the latest unleash, maybe your menu is set up wrong or you have a bad setting screwing up your loading like a bad ip or maybe your f drive isnt set up to be used who knows...most people have no issues with this dash...

a little idee for skinners

- add a little tool who can allow to change the skin.xml of a skin but keep using the same files (so u know what i mean ?)

exemple (i'm gonna use my skin MilkyX MAX) :

parent folder-->[folder milkyX MAX] [the files used for all versions]
-[milkyX blue folder with is skin.xml]
-[milkyX red " " " " " ]
-[milkyX pink " " " " " ]
-[milkyX black " " " " " ]
-[milkyX orange " " " " " ]
-[milkyX purple " " " " " ]

etc etc

unleashX scan the skin.xml file, if it found links to other skin.xml it open a popen when skin is selected who allow the user to choose the color of is choice

what are u thinking about it ?

I'd still personally love to see a random skins option. I've got a ton of skins (just about all of them) and would love the surprise of knowing which I will boot with.

Ok well its bee mentioned before but I would like to mention it again..

Unleash is by far the BEST Dash in my opinion, but here is a few things I would like to see built into the dash,

1: Bios Flashing (Passworded)
2: Batch uploading as with Avalaunch + Qwix. I heard UX is talking to Team Avalaunch, is this true?
3: A choice of directorys when using the CopyDVD function. Instead of the defaulf of F:\Games\xxxx (I know this can be changed in Config.xml but an option would be nice for E and G drive)
4: MP3 support for BG Music
5: xbe patcher (If this is possible to carry out this function on the xbox)

This i think would make it the most complete xbox dash you could find.

The day some one builds a media player into dash (preferably UnleashX) the whole dash scene will be taken by storm. Just think.. no more booting of a seperate xbe and then booting back to your dash.

Ok so some will say you can use XBMC as a dash but why would you?

Here's a complete list of what I like to see In the next version.

1. support for the Chameleon Modchip
2. support for the G:Drive like Boxplorer
3. governs the ability to use trainers.
4. ability to extract .iso and .rar files
5. Config.xml support for launching emulators and other Dashboards from the dash.
