I tried all the dash's and Unleash is my fave.

I have 2 things I need resolved.  I followed the tut here to remove evox and make this my main dash, and all is well. however.

I used to be able to use Windows XP IE and enter my IP and login, I cannot do that with UnleashX???  I can get in with FlashFXP just fine, but I prefer to use windows to do it.

Secondly, I cannot get background music to play anything other than soundtracks that are in my E:\TDATA\fffeee000\ directory.

I have a slew of MP3 on my F:\Music directory, I have set UX to
Play Music:  BOTH
Random: Yes
Path: F:\Music

All it plays is stuff from the E, its like it doesnt even look in the f:\music dir at all... please help.

Hola, and welcome to the gang!

First, I understand that you are more comfortable with Windows IE as an FTP client, but I would honestly switch to FlashFXP, CuteFTP, or some other more stable, reliable, FTP client.

Secondly, as of yet, UnleashX does not support mp3 playback.  It is on the feature list, and it is a high request, but the main goal of the dash is reliability, safe practice/use, and performence/effecieny.  Including mp3 playback affects at least one of those goals, so it may not be added for a while to come.

OK.  If no MP3 playback, obviously it does .WMA right?

I will experiment with converting some of my MP3's to .WMA format and see if it plays em.  Thanks.

So, did you kinda dodge the question about using IE to ftp in?  I assume it just does not work??

I find it much much faster and easier than FlashFXP but if I must use FlashFxp, then I wil...  Small sacrifice for this great dash.

Now I just need to tweak it to specs.

Oh...  I have an X2.3b Lite...  The IGR is L/R BACK/START.  Doesnt seem to work with the UnleashX???

Beautiful..  I found a MP3 - WMA convertor.. just ran a batch on a 311 album.

Playsback prefectly.

Had to set it to CUSTOM.

I assume the selections work like this

XBOX - Soundtracks only from the E:\TDATA\fffeee00
Custom - Only plays from specififed user dir (F:\Music)
Both - Randomly picks from e:\tdata and user specified??

Now I need to figure out how to add some video skins to this thing...

i use ie fine to ftp my box...
pro xp too.
maybe double check your settings on both ends.

Change the bolded "True" to either "Both" or "Custom" depending on the playback you are looking for.

unleashx left the old values of True and False as acceptable values even though they do not really make sense for the current version specs.

You can also change all of this from looking in your settings within UnleashX (probably the easiest and safest way to go about changing it).

IE works fine. you can use the following format: ftp//user:pass@host , i.e. ftp://xbox:[email protected].
