All right, cool. This is a bit much to take in at the moment, as I have to jump in the shower, but I must ask if there are any other large feature changes/additions to the skin spec you are planning in the near future?

Also, did you give any thought to the BGMusic directory inside skin directories to override background music locations?

As you can see by the menucentrics area at the right, the current menu system was easy to do, since it was just a box with attributes. Now I have many questions as to how it will work.

What is the maximum number of menu items?

Are the items static, or are the coordinates really just defining an area/style that a particular slot takes up, and when you scroll through the menu, whatever item passes through that slot takes on those attributes?

Do the items move, like the MS Dash does, or do they remain at their defined locations?

uhh.gif i wuzz just onedering if eneybudy can tell me waer to download ux skinnerbox. i like the screen shot i looked at AXS xbox-scene and searched google but no luck?

CODE

____________
|ITEM
|
|____________

but if it were to be center-aligned to the itempos box, the selection rectangle would look like this, which is a lot better to me:

CODE

____________
|
|ITEM
|____________

Am I correct in this theory?

smile.gif Lemme know about this and I'll start up a new menu engine in the morning. I want to make the menu section support every possible aspect of the skin's spec, and I want to make sure I can just write out defaults that won't truncate the menu items, etc. I don't want to release something that won't work for certain versions/some methods, etc.

Is there any way that you can modify the default skin?

Please say this Unleash Skinning prog dosn't need the .NET framework smile.gif
PLEASE!!

Well, it is written in .Net, but I only moved to VS.Net recently, and so I don't know if there's individual dependencies that require it, or if the framework is just the new runtimes.

Let's assume it needs it; why is it a problem for you?

whoever wants to use a .NET program needs the .NET framework to run it, some people have it already (threw windows update), If anyone needs it, just run windows update and it will be in the recomended downloads.

what launguage are you using (VB.NET, MC++, C#) ?? If ya need any help/testers, I've been using .NET for a while now.

the unofficial has it, and its the green circles are now blue.  Just one thing, when you are not moving the selection around in the real msdash/thc the 4 fins spin to keep it from looking static.  But im just being nit picky.
