Hey guys, posted this in a separate topic already but just thought I'd add it here as well...just thought you might want to try this if IGR is causing your UX dash to crash/hang on bootup screen (altho you do actually have to get UX to boot once to get this to work) - this worked for me.
Just go into the system settings and change the music DIR to f:music. Presto, no more hangs! Everything works beautifully for me now, and UX was hanging once in every 3 boots, sometimes 4 or 5 times in a row for me before...I didn't do anything else to make this work, just FTP'd the latest version over (replaced the xbe in c:) and then changed the music dir through UX, no deleting soundtracks or savegame files.
Strange thing is that is still plays the tracks that have been ripped using the MS dash...I had a few random NIN and Strapping Young Lad MP3's in my f:music, but it ignores them and sticks to the MSdash WMA's. Furthermore, I put it to the test and ripped another audio CD AFTER making these changes and it still works good as gold...I'll keep testing it over the next few days and report any other probs I find, but I loaded a variety of emus/dashboards/games and used various combos of IGR (paused/unpaused/during movies) and app menu resets, and it didn't crash once. Maybe if the error is caused by UX looking for music to play when it starts up then this can be fixed by telling it to look in a different location...or something like that. Anyway, there ya go! Just change your default music DIR!
Cheers, hope it helps. UX RAWKS, keep up the good work!
Drew
PS: Just for reference...my bios = custom 4979.06 (colourmod red "x", red front LED, noani, boot sequence c:unleashx.xbe, c:evox.xbe, c:xboxdash.xbe...as u can see from that UX is launched as unleashx.xbe, NOT a renamed evoxdash.xbe, although I don't know if this makes any diff.)
