Tis weird, was working all day and now just like 10 mins ago stopped working, completely unresponsive, only port 1. Also tried 4 diff pads (all official good original controllers, not shitty 's')  to no avail, games etc. get it fine. Does it matter that ive done the power buon on controler mod, therefore modding the inner controller lead? it never posed a problem before. Any ideas? and yes ive rebooted it several times with no luck.

hmmm...not sure what the problem would be...

Did you check and see if it works in evoX or Ava?

This dash does have a few bugs but it is only the second beta release and it is being made by one person not a team like the other dashes so it may take some time to get everything working right. I still am very happy with this dash.

well he should check and see if it works in EvoX or Avalaunch...because my 4th controller port has never worked...but I think that is just because of a partly static-shocked USB controller card

If your 4th controller port isn't working (or hasn't worked since you modded your Xbox) you might want to check your USB daughterboard assuming you have a 1.0 version Xbox.

I had the same mysterious problem for port 4 in one of the xboxes I modded and finally figured it out while searching in these forums that one of the resistors had been damaged/torn off while removing the plugs from the USB daughterboard.  I think is only an issue with Xboxes that use the daughterboard since the plug that connects the front panel is right in line with the resistor that got sideswiped.

Only fix I know of is to purchase a new daughterboard (not too painful about $4-8 from Ebay or websites).

Here's a link for more information regarding port 4 not working.

As for port 1 dropping out somewhat randomly in UnleashX I've noticed the same thing happening in version 1 but I haven't had the same problems in version 2.  Maybe upgrading will help solve this problem.

Also I have crashed my dashboard by having a memory card in Slot A on controller 1.  This is a known bug and was announced with the release of version 2.

Ive noticed a bug in UnleashX.

I have a shitty madcatz controller as my fourth controller, and when the system boots, its the only one that works. (Its go to the right on its own)

So I tested it and concluded that, which ever controller pushes anything first, has control of UnleashX until reboot.

That may be your problem...

strange things are happening with my dash...


Original controller (the big one) plugged in > port 1  = works
Ports 2 - 4 free

----
Original controller (the big one) plugged in > port 1 = doesn´t work
AND
XS controller (the small one) plugged in > port 2 = works
Ports 3 - 4 free
----

Is this a bug ??
my XBOX Version is 1.0
