What files we're you deleting?

There's no way to delete an entire folder when there are files inside it. What UnleashX does is check all the files by drilling down to the bottom of the folder hierarchy, then work it's way up. Files first, then folders second.

You can not restore a deleted file or folder, btw. I guess I should have put more warning there that "DELETING IS NOT REVERSIBLE" in BIG BOLD CAPITAL letters.

And yes, the "Cancel" is there, it says so, right? Pressing the "A" or "B" button will do the trick.

I thought it might be a faulty Hard-Drive (thing like this does happen in PC’s sometime) – that’s why we need SCANDISK for XBOX…

What you describe sounds very similar to my Ghost town situation here – assume the process you just described accidentally ran on F: instead of a specific folder and then got Stuck – you will get what I have – tons of empty folders…
Maybe it was “drilling down to the bottom of the folder hierarchy, then work it's way up” but kept on going UP…

If you can give me more information on the logics of the sorting – when it goes up a level by what order it will go to the next directory. This could help as some games have no files in them (only dirs) and some do – I can check if they apply to the sorting mechanism you use.

There's no sorting done, as it would certainly fail the delete operation. Files are queued the way the file system returns them (via FindFirstFile, FindNextFile API).

Before UnleashX performs the actual deletion, it shows you a confirmation dialog stating the number of files and folders to delete, including the total content size. Do you remember what was shown in that dialog?

54MB is really nothing. You wouldn't even see the progress bar with this size. I have tried deleting a single 500+MB file and it barely shows up. Deleting a couple of game folders doesn't even take 5 seconds.

Are you sure you haven't hit the black button, then chose delete? The black button will toggle the selected items.

And I know it froze on 70% - and yes it took it some time to get there

Few issues:
1. Even if it's my "mistake" it WOULD happen to others, usually I know what I'm doing when it comes to software - maybe you need to add some kind of a protection mechanism- when it's going to delete so many files...
2. It did freeze at some point (that was my lucky bug   )
3. I believe it's worth looking into the code and making sure it's not some kind of a weird bug

Don't worry too much about my files - it saved me the hard work of deciding what to delete...

Could you have acidently highlighted ".." instead of "Media" (It's very hard to tell in most skins).  That could be your problem right there.  

As you observed, you said the size might have been in GB, so I suppose you could have.  And I'd imagine that the DEL of individual files would occur first, then RMD after at the end. (I'm referring to FTP commands, I have no idea what they're called in C).

I'd imagine Unleashx wasn't designed to handle a 54GB queue (Xbox RAM probably ran out holding all the directory structure info).

Just some guesses, unleashx will probably have a better answer.

I beleive it selects multiple when you press X.

Most skins don't have a contrast between selected and non-selected, so you may have even selected it without knowing.
