biggrin.gif . yep i made the model and strangley after playing with it was thinking nearly exactly the same thing as you.  interesting thing is - acidbath has made me some corkscrew dna replacements, which you all willl most likely see today  wink.gif  (its still a .3ds file atm) and i wonder what happens if i hit spherize on it........

Credits in the skins would be just fine HoZy (Thats why there is a credits field)

And no it isn't only a skin. Some of the artwork used has taken someone alot of time and effort and is a form of art, be more respectful to the creators/owners of such art, unless of course you have spent weeks rendering a scene to perfection and given it away for free, in which case I will shut up.

All I ask is that people give credit where it is due on the artwork. As a renderer myself, I know I wouldn't be happy seeing my work posted here with no credits.

to the guy who asked about 3d tabs that really is a photoshop question and way of topic - but its layer styles that'll get you there

and lastly , not sure how well this would work but instead of a skinning tute maybe we could have a skinning q's and a's thread so this doesn't get cluttered?  then maybe when theres enough good info someone could compile it into an faq of sorts
