Background Music In Dash, How?

the files have to be wma files. get this file Xbox Soundtrack editor and then enter you ip details and add the wma files you have to the soundtracks and then just sedn em over and like magic you will have all the songs you want. also if you have some mp3s there arer numerous converters to switch the files

Thanks for the info. I got a song copied from cd into the playlist and can play it from the menu but it doesn't play automatically when I start the menu. How can I make it start  playing the song while the menu screen is up?

get into the configuration mode then press Y, you should see a setting called "Auto
Dash Music" , highlight that and press A to toggel between true and fasle. true = music on and false = music off. press B to get out of that menu, then hold L + R triggers + B, select yes to save and your good to go.
