I downloaded the tHc_Dash_v1B.10027100 and the tHcDash_v1B_10027100__12-27-03. I ran the patcher and copied the files to my xbox. I started the tHc_Dash_v1B.xbe from boxplorer and the dash came up. The problem is the menus are empty and when I click on one it asks for a password. No configuration screen comes up.  I checked the data00.xbx and it still says 1stboot. Does it have to be set up as my default dash to work?

The tHc dash includes a no-resign patch (for replacement of existing files in xip... when filename + filetype is the same u don't need to resign wink.gif, BUT you need to resign after adding a NEW file (e.g. 1st time you insert a xboxbg.xbx)

I've got the same pb (i was 2 stoopid to understand the incl. readme lol . After patching, u need to copy the new created dir "thc.data" to the root of c:/ on the box... for info, this dir is the common config, if u're using more colors (X=B/G/O)... it's no more the thc.data in tHc_Dash_v1X.10027100 wink.gif

Hey...Is there anyway to keep the folder on F:

Update................
Never mind,,,,,I used a hex editor and figured it out....thanks anyways......

Would you mind passing along what you had to do to get this done?  I would be interested in setting it up in F: for the same reasons, but it seems I'm not as adept (i.e. don't have your mad skillz  wink.gif ) with a hex editor (at least not yet...)

Thx..

Hey klobbermeister,,,,I used winxip..and a hexeditor......I used the hexeditor to change the partition2 to partition 6 for the " tHc_Dash_v1B.10027100" to be found on f:
Then I used winxip to open default.xip...........Then I opened default.xap with an editor and searched for all the partition2 and changed them to partition6.....
Then look for
function initialize()
{
   datapath = "Y:tHc.data";

and Change To

function initialize()
{
   datapath = "N:tHc.data";

Changing Y to N is to load the Configfiles to look in F: Cause if you search for Y: you will see that the datapath is pointing to C: as you can see here

function ReadValues(ww)
{
   var fD = ww;
   var c = new Folder;
-------->   c.path = "Y:" + fD;<-----------Right here is to look in see--------------
   var cL = c.subFolders.length();
   var cS = new Array(cL);
       if(cL > 0)
       {
       for(var cLo = 0; cLo < cL; cLo = cLo + 1)
       {
       cS[cLo] = c.subFolders[cLo].name;
       }
       }
   var e = new Folder;
   e.path = "C:" + fD;
   var eL = e.subFolders.length();
   var eS = new Array(eL);
       if(eL > 0)
       {
       for(var eLo = 0; eLo < eL; eLo = eLo + 1)
       {
       eS[eLo] = e.subFolders[eLo].name;
       }
       }
   var f = new Folder;
   f.path = "N:" + fD;------------------------Changing it To N looks for it on F partition
   var fL = f.subFolders.length();
   var fS = new Array(fL);
       if(fL > 0)

Also..while you are in default.xap...you can change your shutdown and reboot.xbe's to partition6 if you have them there instead of partition2......Also change the dash.xbe  your using instead of using evoxdash.xbe or default.xbe

I Think thats all....................Let me know if you get it......Case i left out something  .........
Oh yea.....if you go to setup0.xap in default.xip......you can change the
patition2 to partition6 so ..................
function OnBlackDown()
   {
      //launch( "evoxdash.xbe", "DeviceHarddisk0Partition6" );
   }

Thats it I think....Let me know.................Keith

Hi
What's new in the final release of the tHc dash (except for the location of the tHc.data folder), compared to the pre-release?
Also, why can the Settings Style menu contain only the settings menu? is this going to change in future versions? would it be too hard to change (this is the style I like most :-( )?
Thanks,

   Krater

Still haven't solved my problem with tHc not working on my new HD. Did find some posts mentioning some problems with Xbios 4977 on prelease dash. Is this true for the final version? Am thinking of trying different bios as I'm currently running 4977.

Cheers,
Jerry

Well, I found that indeed 4977 doesn't work with the dash. 4976.02 does, haven't tried 4979.06 or .67 yet.
Nice to finally get it working. Great dash!

I'm running: Xbox vers 1.0, with Xecutor 2 Pro vers 2.0 on a 4977 BIOS with a 120GB Maxtor HDD with the final release of tHc Green Dash. No problems.

You guys are right those bios work with tHc dash, turns out the first three banks for my X2 don't work. No matter what bios I flash them with, they only boot to the msdash any other dash on C errors. Thanks god the 4th bank works! Tried reseating the ribbon cable but still same error, wierd. Now will hold on and replace my old X2 when X3 comes out. Sorry for sowing seeds of confusion. Make no mistake this dash ROCKs
