I too, cannot run the MS dashboard since upgrading to a 120GB HD.  I think I locked the HD using ConfigMagic (it says the HD is locked), all I did was load ConfigMagic the select the Lock HD option, is this all that is required???

If I run the MS dashboard from the menu in Evo X it starts loading but I just get a black screen.

I only want the MS dashboard so I can use my Xbox as a DVD player so if anyone has another way of playing DVDs then the MS dash wouldn't be an issue!!!

Cheers, Tarball

Anyway, so far so good, the xbox is running, and the dash operates as well.

that's what i did..i copy every content from the drives in the original hd (i already put evox in it but the msdashboard works there so it theoritically should work if i copy all its content to the new hd) to my pc using evox ftp feature..then format a new 120 gig hd and then copy the drive content on my pc to the new hd...but still no luck on recovering the msdashboard.....

one more: can anyone tell me a way to tell how much space i have left on my harddrive...i formated my new 120 gig but i think i lost like 16 gig in the formating (how do i recover this lost??).....but so i just wanna know how i can tell how much i have in total and how much is free to be used.....
