Problem With Hexbe

Hi!!
I wanted to patch my M$-Dashboard so that it has different colours. I downloaded Hexbe_Beta_0.9.209 and loaded the xboxdash.xbe file to my computer via FTP. But when I finaly want to patch the file after I made all the other settings (like loading up my saved project), I always get an error message "Error: An unknown error has occured". What am I doing wrong??
