alright, so i downloaded the program you told me to,... and it did exactly what i thought i needed.... it extracted the audio to a .wma  so i go to MXMSKINNER and load up my halo2 skin (im tryin to get the e3 video to play WITH sound) and i goto the configuration menu then down to the audio settings,... clcik use background music,... click use custom music,... select the .wma i made and uncheck everything else (play random, play global)... ftp the skin back to my box, and still no audio.... now i dont know why the audio doesnt come with the video in the first place, but i guess thats a diff story.... anyways, anyone that could help, thatd be greatly appreciated, the video is quite the same without sound thanks.

Not sure why the audio doesn't play with your skin.

But forget ripping the audio out, and try this instead:

<Layoutelement Type="Image" Source="blah">
<pos blah>
<Sound>
<Enable>True</Enable>
<SuspendMusic>True</SuspendMusic>
</Sound>

</Layoutelement>

To extract audio from video i used a VideoCharge.

This is simple soft which allows extract audio from any video, and save as WMA, MP4, WAV audio file.

You can find soft in http://www.videocharge.com/Index.php
