I am having this same problem. Small black squares, it appears to have very small versions of the font tex inside the boxes... looks to be incorrect, like, selection of the area where characters should be.

Strange. Is the black square in FontMaker?

Did you recently change video drivers or DirectX on your system?

Hmmm, the update of DirectX probalby has something to do with it, though I don't fully understand why. It works fine on my systems (DX9, ATI Radion 9800 and GF3 cards)

If it does ill know its my pc, if it doesnt, well ill check another font.

I'll try it out as soon as I can (off to a family gathering right now.)
