New Skin Wip
« on: September 25, 2003, 09:20:00 PM »

MY hdd crashed last week so I lost my last skin I was working on, So I decided to start on a new skin.  I got the first test render of the animation and decided to share it with everybody.  Hopefully I'll be able to finish and release this skin later on.  fyi, the heavy compression takes alot away from the quality but meh,

SKIN PREVIEW

Again this is just a test render of the background of the skin and it is far from finished.  As you can see The water tube thingy's kinda have some weird spots in them for some reason right now.  Everything moves really fast aswell, so it will be slowed down.

Constructive critiscm/comments are always welcome.

The videos in all of my skins are made with maya 5. (high end 3d software).  The effects are actually relatively simple do to once you learn your way around the program.
Although there is no post production done to this video I use video vegas 4 for that.

Hmmm caustics are a real possibility if I use mental ray to render, but The render time is allready starting to get pretty high, and caustics take FOREVER.  I'll try to find some a niece piece of music to go with it to add to the feel.

ub312g0d, create a simple noise shader and let the lightsource project it as a map. Phase the noise shader a bit to get the water movement. This shouldnt consume too much rendertime.
