biggrin.gif

Edit:
It needs Visual Basic 6 runtime files to run; available from the M$ site
Download updated: Version 2.1

-Has 10 custom feeds
-Can save custom feeds
-Works for those who got error 429 (Caused by a missing DLL.  Coincidentally, MXM Skinner used the same DLL, so anyone who used MXM Skinner already had it registered and didnt get the error  laugh.gif )

very nice... a sweet ass addition to my desktop. THanks!

*Only gripe.   Would be nice to have the custom url selectable like the other feeds (its own button.)  or  have the url saved to be later recalled.

QUOTE (geniusalz @ Sep 2 2003, 10:11 PM)
So u mean that it could verify whether the newsfeed mentioned in an MXM.xml is valid or not?

I'll try that

One thing I noticed is the difference between RSS and RDF.  RDF has "item" nodes outside the "channel" node, RSS has them inside.  Does MXM support both, or one of them?

I can't check it because I don't have an xbox nowadays  laugh.gif

MXM should handle either format.... I added code to do it both ways.

Wow this is nice, would be cool if it could read these

news

Cause i tried a couple in MXM and i wasnt able to read any  wink.gif

These are neither RSS or RDF.  It's moreover's own format.

However, implementing support for these should not be hard, as the basic structure is similar to RSS; just uses different tag names.
