I'm pretty sure it CAN support widescreen. Take a look at the only widescreen skin for MXM out there, the star trek one. it looks dope but its just not my taste...
I know that with evox for you to make a widescreen skin, you had to create a 16:9 image and then squeeze it into a regular 4:3 format so that when it displays on the widescreen tv, it would just stretch out the image to make it look it was meant to fit. I would think it would be similar for MXM.
So in short, (at least from evoX's old point of view) Make a 720x480 background picture/layout and then resize it without constraining the proportions to 640x480 before adding the menu layers. (which I'm sure is a million times easier said than done!)
I hope I made sense. I have yet to try to make an MXM skin let alone a widescreen version.
Hell, I might even put up a small $ reward for someone to put together a really dope looking widescreen MXM skin!
