QUOTE (TGD @ Aug 1 2003, 08:56 PM)
Is there a way to use this skin without the tv scanline in the back ground? I have a very nice high quality video animation that looks better without the scan lines overlaying it. Im referring to Livewire 2.0

thx in adv..

TGD

I was planning to take them out.. cause i thought the video looked better without them also... but JLM thinks they should be left in.

I could send you one without the scanlines....but you need to specify color.  Or,  we might need to release two versions of each color.

Could it be a bad wmv file that all the people who are having the problem have in common? Maybe you all downloaded the same ncaa 2004 wmv and something with it is causing a problem. Or another video file. I don't know enough about how mxm works to know if a bad encoded file would cause problems, just throwing out ideas. I've played ncaa 2004 and don't have any slow down in mxm.

I played it from disc, not hard drive.  All the videos I use in my menus have been there for quite a while and without problem.

I'd like to see your HD video... maybe it would be good to use in the skin as default?

I might make a new one myself with photoshop and AE.   The one in use now is just a converted QT preview video.

Here is a nice tutorial link for all of you skinners that use photoshop and After Effects to make looping backgrounds.

It was the newsfeeds.  I removed them and everything is fine now.

I also went to my isp website and noticed they are doing maintenance (With IP specifically) in the area and gave connectivity a Yellow Light. So while I get DNS resolved to my PC... maybe something they are doing is throwing fits with MXM.

It would explain why all of a sudden my newsfeeds stopped working even though the first one loads.
