Skin Preview: Livewire 1.0

I'm gonna change it myself as I did with SecurityX, but for others who may not understand XML, if you edit the skin xml and change SelPos from 0 to 1, the currently selected menu item will be in the center instead of on top.  That's how I prefer it.

Great job on the skin, guys.  None of the older skins can compete, and the DDS overlay is a nice touch!  I'm looking forward to seeing what people can come up with, now that we have that ability.  If I get some time myself, maybe I'll throw something together.

ok a mate of mine tried securityX and apparently the temp type wouldn't change... it stays at F when changed to C in the menu.

i'm guessing this skin borrows a lot from securitX so that may be an issue in this skin too.

i'm gonna d/l this in a sec, looks awesome!

If that's the case, just change the string source for that element (TempSysF -> TempSys, TempCPUF -> TempCPU)

Anyone way to add game size to this skin, with that I would really love it, or am I wrong that that ability was added to mxm a few releases back and is yet to be in a skin.

I'm considering some sort of game information database, separate from the menu info.

I would likely collect info in a number of ways for the user. This might happen when the System UI is fully implemented.

I just thought you said at like n1 or n2 that you had added the ability for skins to show directory size, just couldn't find anywhere that said the name of the tag to display the information.

Yeah, Game Info displays the information, but it's calculated the first time you bring it up, it doesn't use the "strings" - nor does it save that off. It's cached, but there will be a slight pause the first time you bring up the game. I plan on extending the routine to scan for FATX compliance as well.

biggrin.gif. I am trying to come up with some idea for a new skin. I have a quick release one Im am working on atm, it's nothing special, but it is quality and that's what MXM is all about.

Wow.... I'm thinking an alpha channeled overlay on that left side of the glossy "drop" would be a good place for a thumbnail... fuzz the edges and keep the shine over it.

yummmmm...

Oh, or alpha the whole 'structure' and put a nice looping, undulating green fog in the background.  biggrin.gif

That would be an awesome skin if someone could get that green background fog to animate and slowly move across the screen in the background.   KEWL!
