Hey Man , Looking great just thought id Mention
There is a way to make the Thumbs taller they kind of look squished, and you should put something like what Kolfuzion made in your other post (tranparent PNG) to put in front of the thubnail so as to mask the corners to make it look circular.

Just give a shout if you need any help
Because I want this skin

There is another skin, that is currently in the workings. It is set up with the same format as the last one, so it wont take long. This skin will support Newsfeeds unlike SecurityX

well the original overlay i made for you was hosed.. forgot the alpha channel. (duh)

The skin.xml was a lot of close reading and some trial and error.   I still cannot fix the "Name" entry and cannot figure out why.   If you apply the font to this layout element... it hoses up the rest of the skin elements except for the menu.

I've looked the whole thing over time and time again and cant find the problem.

So as it stands now, it all works fine.. but the name will not be using the font you originally intended. unless someone else can find the problem.

I posted it to AXS and updated the preview images.

I'll take another look over it and see if I can get that working. I really need some feedback on this skin, so I know what is good to go on the next couple. KF, the fixes look great and you never told me how you liked it. tongue.gif

I may have fixed the problem with the name entry, I'll check it over and release a possible 1.2 version.

EDIT: HMMM, still a no go, I have no clue why the "name" entry is the onyl one doing this. BJ if you could download the 1.1 version and take a look, that would be great.

I HATE it!  lmao.. only because I am still sitting here messing with it.  I found another error that I previously overlooked (i updated the download again btw).. but i still can figure out the problem.

I changed the non-menu item font colors to have a 90% alpha so they blend in a little better.

The FONT tags for the name entry is still there but the actual font name is left blank  as long as you dont put "light" in there  it works except the name entry isnt using the right font.

It's making me thing there is an erronous / somewhere.. or a missing one.. but i dont see it.

anyone see the problem?

oh.. sorry.. I will actually love the skin.. i think it looks great, but it just pissing me off right now.

I think you updated the download with the wrong skin xml file, it went back to the old one without th overlay.

I copy and pasted what you had in the thread though and I think your on to something. When it loads it highlights the font for a second then gets rid of it.

Ok, I just did another update to the download on AXS.

It works 100% now.

I think there might be a problem with the font file itself...dont ask me how.

I change a lot of the tags and ran the problem down to the menu itself.  All I did then was change the font to the one from "It's about choice" and it works fine now.

I even tried to rename the font file and the name used in the xml but no luck.

It still looks good though.. and it functional now smile.gif

Ehhh, not really diggin the new font, it seems to throw off alot of size things. I think we should go back to the original lighting font wih the name entry a different one for now, until BJ comes up with a fix.

i cant get the orginail font to work 100%

just to make sure i wasnt full of shit.  I just now changed the filename only in the skin.xml  to seclightnin.xpr  and it did the same thing as before.

It has to be the font.
