It also supports .jpg and it's probably the way your saving it thats the problem.

Supports BMP, PNG, TGA, JPG image formats as well as WMV video files!

From the MXMReadMe.txt file.    

Maybe MXMDontReadMe.txt would be more intriguing and people would read it.

lol dont i feel stupid

the reason i asked is that i changed a definition in a premade skin to "menubg.jpg" from "menubg.png" and it loaded with no background

i guess ill try it again
