My guess is that there's something wrong with your wmv-files.
They should be in WMV8, and contain a soundchannel (can be silent tho)

Actually, in theory not all skins have preview support. Because, you must define it, in the MXM_skin.xml.. If, for whatever reason, they left it out, you wouldn't have any previews (however, to my knowledge, all skins have this).. - Nevermind, you are seeing pics at least..

So, reset the menu chache, and see if it's still not showing them.. Stll no luck, then make sure your menu.xml is pointing to a valid location (maybe it's "Preview" not "Previews" or something like that)..

BTW, thanks for the replies. This is the only forum where someone actually tried to help. I posted a hdd locking Q in hardware and newb chat. Plenty of views but no replies.

Yeah the support in this forum is top notch, no flaming whatsoever and there is great and constant feedback from the creator of mxm BJ himself. MXM is now my number one dash. BTW kolohekid I use blueXsmok to and I get full sound and motion in my preview videos and pictures for all my apps and emulators. Did you want a look at my xml files?

an easy way to get the preview vids would be to put the vid in its respective folder and rename the vid "mxm_ss.wmv". You shouldnt have to fool around with your mxm.xml to get the mxm_ss to be recognized either.
