Heh heh.... yeah I just noticed the "Split" option today, oddly enough.

Nice skin. I haven't seen it up on AllXboxSkins yet, though... I'll take a look at the WMV Archive FTP as soon as I wrap up my downloading there.

Hopefully it's not too bad for a first skin, I worked a good 4 hours on it

BTW: A suggestion for the next release of MXM (though it may be in this one).. It would be cool if we could offset the position of each menu item, like:

<offset>
<item0 xoffset="0" yoffset="0" />
<item1 xoffset="2" yoffset="0" />
<item2 xoffset="-5" yoffset="0" />
</offset>

Which would offset the item from the 'L' and 'T' values here:
<Pos l="375" t="175" w="180" h="175" />

Something like that would make that menu fit a little better.

Nowhere, yet.. I'm trying to figure out how to translucently and circularly overlay them onto the 'X' sphere.

Actually, you won't get semi-transparency, but you could use a PNG or TGA cut-out in front of the preview image to have it display in a circular fashion, hiding the corners. I haven't finished downloading the skin yet, but I'll take a look and see if that seems feasable..

Well it seems like many peeps are switching to MXM as their reg dashboard (like evox), neway, I think this would be a great skin to start of this revolution!

I always wondered if that was a possibility, not having made a skin yet, i didn't know for sure. Thanks for the easy answer BJ.

Id like to add another suggestion , Just thinking outloud

An entry that would allow a short looped video to be displayed instead of just sound for the entries MenuUp and MenuDown

Ex. This skin is a perfect example, The only thing thats not like the original dash (looks very good by the way) is when you move the menu up or down, those arms (behind each menu item ) dont move. So how about making like a 1 sec clip of those arms making one revolution up, and 1 sec clip making one revolution down for the menuup and MEnudown , and then just adjust the Scrollfactor accordingly??

Do you guys see what Im saying ??

I can see Soooo Many good possibilities if this could be possible

also this would resolve the problem of making a transition video from menu to menu , APPZ, Games, Action , Fighting ETc, .

This skin actually looks great, I really like the look of it. The only thing I can see that will keep me from using it is the non use of video previews or thumbs. Other then that its very clean and simple for anyone who has been looking for one like that.

Previews added, use this MXM_Skin.XML file if you want them

Right-click, save-as: MXM_Skin.xml
Replace the previous XML file.

hmm.. I'm a bit confused by your response BenJeremy,

so yes, I can use cpxmenux skins in MXM, but you have to check to see if they can load or not? Do I just declare them as the skin or can I make a folder for them and they'll cycle randomly with the rest of my skins (Generator, Green etc)

Download my Winter-skin, and replace the png's with your own or the skin you want. You might need some calibrating, some small fixes for the screenshot or the menu.
