The audio in the Generator Skin is in a directory of the skin, as WMA files.

There are settings in the skin file to control how music and the audio from preview movies works... and in "L" the user can override these settings (without editing the skin files)

Sound::Enable ?

They are tag/attributes for Image Elements...

CODE

:   :

 true

 1725

:   :

The above is right out of the Matrix Skin, and using the null tag "Sound":

<Sound  Enable="true" SuspendMusic="true" />

Enables sound for the element (the preview video) and suspends music when it is a video (that is, when it appears).

I would suggest you consider leaving it be, though... messing with the skin xml files, without understanding them better, is a recipe for disaster. That is why they are kept separate from the configuration file.

If you are interested in skinning, and don't feel intimidated by the files, go over the xml files provided with those skins that have been released, so you have a good 'feel' for what is going on.

I never realized that getting teh audio to play for a video was so hard.

i cant just insert
           <Sound Enable="true" SuspendMusic="true"/>

somewhere in the Generatorskin.xml to turn on the audio for the video?

if you have audio included in the wmv then in the element for the wmv you could include that line, just sticking it in there randomly isn't going to do you any good

Instead of adding it now, you could wait for "L" which will allow you to override the settings for any skin you load.

It will be out by the end of the Memorial Day weekend (this weekend, for us in the US).
