Is a soundtrack manager feasible?  More importantly, is mp3 to wma conversion possible?  (porting some open source converter, I'd presume)

Then you can just drop in an mp3 in some folder, and have MXM convert them automatically to wma, and then put them in the xbox soundtracks

check out vxcr in the development forum.  it does/will do what you're talking about from the PC (it takes the place of xbox soundtrack editor).  the PC is where that belongs (in my elbow and asshole opinion), but i would like to see a stand-alone app on the xbox that can edit and create playlists/soundtracks like the THC dash does.  i'd rather see it incorporated into existing dashes, but a stand-alone xbox app would be cool too.

Okay so I just tried ripping a CD to mp3 with DVD 2 Xbox.

The cd was Mudvayne - L.D. 50. Total time was a little over an hour.
