Nice!  Just a thought too -- maybe like shell spinning, and orb stationary with a lightsource inside the green starts out as dark in the orb, and can see light rays shining out of the hole in the shell as it spins, progressively getting brighter like it's gearing up to explode, then green blast as it sorta super nova's and fills the screen to a solid color which could crossfade into the dash.

I keep thinking of that Keanu Reeves/Morgan Freeman Chain Reaction movie where the tank starts bubbling and the light increases.

I know it's not that fancy, but it's a start.

I would like to see the MXM man cut out the M (like he is sawing something horizontal)... then see it get pushed up through the top of the xbox (or a surface that resembles it) eventually becoming round and floating up as it roatates so you see the M (maybe a "dropping" starfield so the icon actually appears to be rising)

QUOTE (MomDad @ Mar 24 2004, 03:08 AM)
Hehe KF is right, I'm not much of a forums guy, so if someone needs something from me, best it to catch me on EFNet... my psychic abilities aren't yet very advanced tongue.gif

I rar'd up the font and an eps with diff layers for light/dark text and the straight/wrap versions of the text.

Open it up in Illus and turn on/off the layers you want, resave and bring into Photoshop to rasterize or Flash, etc.

If someone has the time to do a 3D version of it, that'd be great!  Only tricky part is mapping the shape of the m shell hole.

BJ, do you have somewhere I can send this to you, or DCC it?

Are these available? Maybe you could put them in the mxm previews/icons part of axs?

marksu,

Nice job on the Animation...

Koldfuzion's storyboard concept looks pretty cool too...

Both very creative...

I still can't get over how no matter what you do with that logo...

it just doesn't feel like MXM...

Well I guess the logo is not like the old temprary logo as color and shape wise.
That is the winner logo and it would be too mutch to reguire all ppl to like it. smile.gif

Now it is up to the ppl contributing to MXM community to make it feel like MXM.  smile.gif

Patience, the time will tell, time will tell...  cool.gif

Hope good pic files will be publically available soon to ppl, so they can do nice stuff with the logo.

Try to make it spin a little slower and increase the framerate (so it runs more smoooth and nice)

Yes I know the avatar is a bit too fast but it is cause the size limit of the avatar. Increase of frame rate increase file size. I would have to down size the amount of colours.

Maybe I do some testing later?

Unfortunately, marksu, animated GIF's aren't allowed in signatures...

As for the skin, artifaction, that looks amazing.  A word of caution about MXM Skinner, it doesn't do fonts or text alignment, which are pretty crucial in making a good skin, so you'll have to do those manually in the XML.  But it's good for laying out stuff quick.
