It depends on your bios.  Most bioses today boot c:\evoxdash.xbe, so you don't need to overwrite xboxdash.xbe

Some newer bioses support mxmdash.xbe, but it's always safe to name the file as evoxdash.xbe

YEah whatever dash your softmod boots now, just take MXM's default.xbe and name it that... all you have to do...

laugh.gif    The dash is of course on drive C:\ just as evox and others. I don't want to be made responsible for blowing your bios' up, but it worked for me.

I don't know for sure EXACTLY how to change your dash with a softmod...  (I used Morden's, which came with MXM, then tested other dashes thru there)  But I'd imagine, finding out where the dash that your soft mod is currently booting is saved at, and over-write it with MXM...  (Rename MXM's default.xbe to whatever theres was)

As for using a soft mod and replacing the default MSDash, you can't do that...  You'll have to use the audio bit from the MSDash unless you get a mod chip, or a TSOP flash done to your XBox...  (If you just replace the default dash with MXM, I think your XBox will stop booting a dash at all, and you'll have to do a hot-swap, install a mod chip, or use a friend's modded box to fix it)
