I want to install this but i still want evox to boot up but i want an option in evox to click mxm and it boot up mxm dash, so is this possible and is there a tut. on how to do this?

That setup will work fine...

just copy the mxm directory over to your xbox harddrive just like you would any other xbox app

You can also use x-select.. which is a sort of dashboard selector... although.. I found x-select a little lacking and clunky myself...

xecuter2 4978.03 bios boot sequence:

1) evoXdash.xbe
2) avadash.xbe
3) mxmdash.xbe
4) xboxdash.xbe

so if you rename evoxdash.xbe to 2evoxdash.xbe it wil start mxm if ava not is present..

let me know if this solved your Quest

Can't you just put an mxm file in apps on the e: or f: drive and put a line in the evox.ini file like the following.

Item"MXM Dsh", "e:AppsMXMdefault.xbe"

or

Item"MXM Dsh", "f:AppsMXMdefault.xbe"

hope that this is another alternative to x-select that you could live with

Yes, you can do this.  I don't know why people are going in to BIOS boot sequences when all he wants to do is add a link to MXM in evox.

I think people read to far into the question. So to clarify (did I spell that right) what has been suggested to you are:

1) Put MXM in a folder under your apps directory and run from current dashboard apps menu.

2) Put "MXMdash.xbe in the root of C: and change the name of evoxdash.xbe to something else.

3) Install X-select and boot desired dash from the root of C: by pressing corrisponding keys on the game pad

#1 answers the question asked
#2 would be bios dependent and also more risky if you not carefull (Newbie) and you would not have simultaneous access unless you use in combination with #1 but reverse the dash eg. Evox in the apps folder in MXM.
#3 Most elequent of all suggestions also more risky than #1 but less than #2

Here is another alternative.  Maybe not for the newb but if you are comfortable with flashing your bios and you have  a 1MB chip, you can put 2 bios on your chip and asign one to boot MXM first the other to boot Evox first.  You can choose by flipping the dip switches on you chip.  I do this and I have the Xecutor FTP bios on one bank and 4977 on the other.  If somthing goes wrong with one bios I have the other and I can FTP with no dash running if the dash goes down.
