Autopatching /w Craxion

Does anyone know if Craxion edits the .xbe files when it autopatches?  or does it use a temp file?  I just wanna know if it actually modifies the file instantly or if it makes a temp file and uses that when it makes the image.

no it edits it directly. which is bad.
at least Qwix makes a copy of the default.xbe.

any chance of making craxion create a folder with the backup default.xbe file in it ?
since patching an iso you cant inject a file without messing up the iso table.
