I use flashFXP and I get about 10 to 15 mbps through I lan crossover cable. ram hard drive space and processing power play a big role in your speeds. on a wireless network you can only hit 11mbps (at least with mine)

I'm backing up my hdd right now and here's my stats:

FlashFXP
current build of XBMC
100 mbit full duplex on both sides
Cat5e crossover cable.
250 GB 7200 rpm hdd w/ ata133 cable
diabled all protocalls to xbox except tcp/ip (don't think this made a difference though)

FlashFXP is saying on average about 11.5 to 12 mbps and the most i've ever seen is 13.
By the way, would you guys know why my evox ftp is slow. It takes a while for it to load the contents of folders, then it only transfers at 5-7 mbps. Thanks for any replies.

I believe your transfer speed more based on how ur network is setup than what dash u are using. I get about about 1.2 MBps with my 10 mbps / 100 mbps hub, but I have to setup a VPN (which is a pain to do everytime). Without a VPN, I get about 14 kbps, heh. I really all depends on the speed of ur network card, hub/router, ur cable (Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6), and the xbox network card maybe limited to a certain speed(??). Anyway thats my 2 cents.

Hows ur network setup Snick?

nice!

Maybe thats a good point, well try this.

As for me, if i try using 10 BaseT halfduplex, i get around 30 kbsec.

Lonecrow:

Dude you need to upgrade to 10/100 if your're getting just 1MB/s. I get 7-8MB/s all the time.
Just a simple 10/100 Nic and Crossover cable will get you going for under $10.
