Considering A Change Of Scenery
« on: September 13, 2003, 01:59:00 PM »

I am brand new to this and I use Evox, but I have read a lot of posts that say this is the place to be.  My question is in your opinion is this dashboard any harder OR easier to navigate than Evox?

MXM is easier to set up, easier to navigate, and looks a hell of a lot better.... although if you're going to set it up from scratch, it may take you some time... depends on how much you want it to be able to do.

I've just recently swapped from Evox to MXM.

A word of advice - don't directly replace the dash, use Xselect so that if you want you can switch easily between many dashes if you want. Its scary changing your dash, so if you use this little prog then it takes away a lot of the pain and makes it very easy to change dashes in the future - I can switch between Evox, MSdash, MXM and Avalaunch during bootup - but MXM is the best for me so far :-)

I wouldn't say MXM was easier to use than Evox - face it, for the average player evox is pretty simple, as is MXM. However for added features such as videos, music etc, MXM rocks. The killer for me though is that it is still being updated. Evox seems to have ground to a halt, but BenJeremy is taking MXM from strength to strength!

I would agree with this!! I just installed MxM today. I love it. But there are some thing that I am not used to right now. I just placed the MxM folder in my F: drive then launch it from evox for now. As soon as I am 100% sure of my self I will make MxM my primary dash.
