Also, if there is anything leftover from the cache menu that can be deleted please let me know.  I don't know what XBEID is and am not sure if I need to have my apps set to false for verified.

Thanks for any help.

EDIT - I noticed that even after I quoted my xml that it left out some of the backslashes.  Sorry about that...I didn't think that would happen if I were to quote it.

Remove the "verified" - that's strictly for the cache menu to identify what it's already looked at. IT will not look for media and such if that is set to true.

just for spits and quiggles... why are you doing it this way? It's such a long and tedious process.

to get a \  use \\

have you checked the actual path you are using in the current xml?  looks like you are using F:\apps\emulators\  if the menu is showing up.. be the emulators are not. you probably dont have the path correct.

That makes perfect sense.  Thank you.

I'm doing it this way because...well...I dunno really.  blink.gif

There is nothing wrong with my emulators submenu.  Everything works fine on there...even the emus.  My problem is that my new submenu "Media" is not showing up in the list.  The only ones that are showing up are "Games, Emulators, Apps, Dashboards."

just to be the devils advocate.... you did reset your menu_cache (or delete it) after you added the media submenu to the menu.xml?

I have a (kinda) simlar question.

autodir isn't working the way i'd like, my apps folder is in the mics directory. I'd like it to be out alongside games and emulators. can I fix this without making another menu.xml?

Well, the User's Guide pulls out sample menus of "sort of" what the AutoCfg menus look like.

You should be able to look at those and modify them to your own tastes.

I tried resetting it and I tried transferring it over again.  The thing that baffles me is that I made the MEDIA and EMULATORS submenus at the same time.

EDIT:  I've removed the verification lines (per BJ).  And yes, I realize that the thumb for bomberbox is the wrong format.  Oh, and who the hell saves a copy of Evox in the games folder???   rolleyes.gif  rolleyes.gif   That was just a temporary thing to tinker around with.
