New Mxm Website
« on: July 20, 2003, 01:13:00 PM »

Hey Guys,  I have been working on a MXM website that will hopefully answer many of the questions that Newbies have and some common problems aswell,

Its not complete Yet, I will Still add many more Links , Pictures and info but for now it will be Sufficient for  installation.

What I need from you guys is some Feddback, I want your suggestion on what to Add, point out any errors you see, give me tags I missed, commets , anything dont be afraid to email me at [email protected] or post it here in the forums

when its finished I can bundle it up and make it into a Manual since its just under 1.3 megs right now it wont be too hard.

Also It shouldnt be hard to update for newer versions,

Everyone check it out   http://home.earthlin.../~mxmdashboard/

Thanks for the help Guys, I just wanted to give back for This Wonderfull App

Im gonnal expand the FAQs,  there are a lot of things that can go here that I see asked a lot in the forums,  and I still need to work on the mxm.xml stuff.  Besides that just add a few more links and cool animations and presto!,  That is if you dont find any errors biggrin.gif

Technically, I don't see how you could actually get in trouble for hosting it. Why do I say that? Because contrary to what many believe (and it's their right to be paranoid), you never agreed to anything XDK licensing terms, so while it's illegal for a developer to distribute XDK compiled code, it should NOT be for anybody else to distribute that code.

AFAIK (Check with Iriez to see if this is true), nobody has EVER been asked to cease and desist offering Xbox homebrews.

Of course, the policy in place here will not change.  wink.gif

okay.  I'm no lawyer or anything, but hosting MS compiled code may be risky.  The XDK contains a lot of things copyrighted by MS, and at least some of that would be included in a binary.  Some MS copyrighted elements in xdk compiled code would potentially make binaries illegal.  Not sure though.

And the recent destruction of sites such as Bitable's Download site show that these items are potentially illegal.

Just my 2 cents, correct me if I'm wrong.
