Mxm Request Thread
« on: June 07, 2003, 09:35:00 AM »

Okay, so this is thread to post ALL of your requests in (or so I hope).  This includes MXM skins, Preview vids, and possibly MXM feature requests (If okay with BJ).  Since this is the place to request, there's no worry of your request getting ignored because of 15 other on topic posts in a fairly active thread..

Let's try and keep this organized, so how about the syntax similar to this:

Skin:  Buffy or Sarah Michelle Gellar in general (Actual request biggrin.gif )

Vid:  J Phoenix+

Feat:  Remote sensitivty tag in mxm.xml

If this doesn't fly with everyone else, just lock and delete the shit..

Update:  Maybe I'll go through now and then and make a list, at the top..  So it's easier for the request fillers to find out what's left to fill..

UltraXLE and Xbomber Box is on Oswalds FTP(If you can't login, login with IE, worked for me)... Enjoy, more videos to come since I have all the Homebrew games now...

You have trouble logging in?  I'll have to look into that.  What FTP client are you using?
Also, remember that once uploaded, I'll copy the files into the main collection at
http://www.anotherus...ebsite.com/MXM/ and that the uploaded files are accessible by HTTP at
http://www.anotherus...site.com/users/

I know this may seem stupidly obvious but it's a good idea to look through the media/video folders in your games... some of them have nice demo movies in .wmv format
you can just link straight to them too so you don't take up more room

I'd like shorter munch and quantum redshift movies, the ones i've found are pretty big (9meg)

Jizzlobber: Why don't you edit them yourself? I use Windows Movie Maker for that, and in the encoding proccess you can choose a lower bitrate...

Chillin_dude: I will give it another go soon...

Some of that stuff is on the list already..  As for the emulators, I just added 'all emulators not already filled', so that covers that..

Regarding the icons/thumbs, I don't know if enough people use them to bother with requests, however, if there is more interest than I know of, I'll gladly add them..

And, BJ, can you clean this thread up again please smile.gif

Here's a suggestion, I wasn't sure where else I should post it.

When you're running MXM as a dashboard, and you put a mxm disc in, it shows the name of the disc, if it's not a mxm disc, it says single game dvd, how bout instead, read the name from the default.xbe and use that.

Since I have both NTSC as PAL games, I request to have a <video> line in the mxm_entry.xml. This way you can insert if a game is a pal or a ntsc version. Skins could use this info to show it as extra information.

Not all games work in other videomodes. Dakar2 for example is a pal game, and won't start when the xbox is in the ntsc videomode. So you need to put it in the pal-mode (with the enigmah switch), before it can be started.

Come to think of it: it would be damn nice if the pal/ntsc switch would be part of MXM. Just witch from pal to ntsc under the system menu   laugh.gif
