Yo, I was wondering, is there any real reason to switch from evox to mxm? If its better i'll switch, just dont know much about it. Is it tighter or what?

Better looking, more 'exciting', more customizable, has background music, more information, password protection.

Evo-X is boring. Static backgrounds and the most unimaginative screensaver EVER.

MXM has video textures, and has a growing list of goodies. It's also open sourced, so if/when I get tired of working on it, others can come along afterward and make improvements.

By the time MXM reaches 1.0, Evo-X's features will be but a small subset of MXM's features.

I would check the Bug Reports topic to see if any of the minor problems with .9k are enough to keep you from changing.  At the very least set up MXM as a standard application and launch it from Evox to get a feel for it before making the switch.

I personally can't wait to see what BJ has in store for us along the road to MXM v1.0  smile.gif

MXM is great and all but I say wait for a few more versions b4 you switch. I was gonna switch but I realised that I need autolaunch and stable ftp support. :-) I know autolaunch is in the next very (yay) but ftp support is still a little shaky. I got it to work in K but the XFer speed is way too slow for me (1meg/sec compared to 5 in evox). Granted that could be because of all the movies playing in the background but still. :-P

Great program tho BJ and I really can't wait to see what you add in the future!
