How Do You Make Mxm Default Dashboard?

how do you make mxm a default dash with a link to evox for ftp?
i moved all the files in my apps/mxm/ folder and i put it on C: then i renamed the xboxdash.xbe (evox) to evox.xbe and i renamed the default.xbe (mxm) to xboxdash.xbe. when i turn on my xbox, it loads to mxm which is what i wanted, but when i try to load evox thru xcommander, it still loads up mxm.. what did i do wrong?

I don't know what's happening there. Perhaps xcommander is not operating correctly?

Seems very odd. Can you launch EvoX from MXM?

Well, my thought was that XCommander wasn't handling the launch correctly  - that it was launching what it THOUGHT it should be launching from C:\ instead of what it was told to.

Does XCommander launch the M$ dash OK?

It should work...

If MXM is launched as the dashboard, it's supposed to look for dashboards and put them all in their own directory, unless you've created your own menu entries already. evox.xbe is one of the files it specifically looks for as a dashboard file.

actually i did create my own menu entries.. i got the exov dash to work finally after i moved it to f:appevox.. and everything looks great.. one more question though.. when i exit out of xbox media player, instead of loading the mxm that i configured, it loads a different menu screen. almost like a menu you get from a demo disc, and the music that plays in the background is the music thats on my soundtrack..  any ideas how to fix this?

you guys are doing a great job by the way.. that generator skin v2 is nice!
thanks for all the help!

Hmmmm... I'd have to recreate the situation to see what's happening.

Give me a few days on that one. My 30GB drive is dying in my dev Xbox, and I'll be replacing it with a 60GB drive I have here, once I back up the stuff on it.

Then I can run some more extensive tests on it.
