This is my first time using Mxm.
Ive just downloaded Mxm 0.9k,but iam having trouble installing it.
Could someone please give me a step by step guide to installing please.
Ive looked at Tutorials but there not very helpful to install it..

What ive done so far is made a folder on my compuer named "mxm". i unziped the mxm 09k into the folder, then ive sent it to my xbox apps folder via flashfxp.
Then when i restart my xbox i open it up and get the matrix writing and then it just goes all black and thats it..

Am i doing somthing wrong?? blink.gif

Another thing as well, ive got the matrix skin but dont know where to put it??

There may still be an issue running it from another app. I guessI'll have to do some more testing on that.

As for the skins, they each get their own directories, inside wherever MXM is run from.

\MXM
\MXM\MatrixSkin

MXM searches all the immediate subdirectories for the MXM_Skin.xml file.

Well, make sure you ALWAYS have an Evo-X boot CD handy (in case something gets screwed up)...

Copy default.xbe to your PC's hard drive somewhere, and rename it "MXM.xbe"

Use an FTP client like FlashFXP or LeapFTP to copy MXM.xbe to your Xbox C:

Copy any skin directories you want to use to your C: (note: they should still be in their own subdirectories on C:)

I usually rename xboxdash.xbe (or whatever your primary dashboard is) by adding a ".ori" at the end: "xboxdash.xbe.ori" using the rename in FlashFXP
NOTE: If you don't have another copy of Evox on C:, and it's the primary dash, rename it to evox.xbe instead, so MXM  can find it.

Now rename MXM.xbe to xboxdash.xbe (or whatever your primary dashboard name is)

Reboot. If all went well, it should boot up to MXM.

BIG NOTE: if MXM does not run for whatever reason for you, you may not want to run it as a dashboard.

If you are having problems running MXM from Evo-X, try disabling IGR.
