Importing Menu From Evo-x
« on: May 02, 2003, 03:47:00 PM »

Well, the menuing is not quite right in 0.9i due to a bug in the XML parser. I have fixed it for "K" but at the moment, I'm trying to get the soundtrack working properly.

Nested nodes break the XML parser... so any menu.xml file, for 0.9i, that nests submenu nodes, will result in something ugly, which is something you have encountered.

The good news is that these fixes should be out in a day or two.

As soon as I can figure out the idiotic MusicManager bug (rather frustrating at the moment... heh ...code seems to break deep in the heart of DirectSound code, for no apparent reason).

Sorry about that... for now, probably best to use the auto-dir that's built internally.

As for sorting, I have a few ideas on that, but it might be another version down the pipeline.

Budmiester, i say wait for 9K but if you can't wait and want to use MXM cuz it's really cool i figured how to get nested menus, it just takes many xml files but it works pretty sweet

Will the release of 0.9k come with the skins your currently working on?

The skin is basically done... though I'm goign to change the font and a few more graphics. The bulk is done, though... I also plan on doing at least one more along a similar line (but more current, if you know what I mean) as soon as I get the source material wink.gif but that will be later in the week.

"k" had to be done, to fix the soundtrack issues, so this skin could be more enjoyable.

Ohh! Man , I can Hardly wait!!
I was working On a Skin Myself,  But Not Nearly As Good and yours  looks, But In Any Even
If I ever Finish, Ill Post Pics cool.gif
