what kind of network setup do you have?  router? dhcp? nic to nic?

I know i have two nics in my pc, one that goes to a router, and one that goes to my dsl ... my router goes to a cable modem. I've seen in some rare cases that the networking traffic somehow get's routed to my outside connection ... instead of going directly through my router.

I don't know if that's a qwix problem or an avalaunch problem.  Interesting.

How many times did you try to make the iso?  do you have boost mode enabled?

You didn't give much info on your setup or your method so I will take over.

I am expierencing extremely slow times creating ISO on the fly from xbox dvd to pc hard drive using qwix 1.01 and avalaunch what ever is latest version as of 7/27/04, thanks to downloadable updates.

I have 2 nics and my xbox networked with a switch uplinked to a modem-router.

I have a nic configured static, gateway is xbox.

Xbox is static goes gateway is router into the switch.

2nd nic in pc; static configured for internet with router dns and router gateway, goes into switch.

All set to full duplex 100mb.  Firewall on nic 2 no firewall on nic1

Is on the fly iso creation just slow or am I doing something wrong?
