I am assuming I don't have Qwix installed. I am running Avalaunch but I am curious ... what exactly is Qwix and what does it do.

yeah without the boost mode- all that does is pass all the info about all files to be ftp'ed across before ftping starts rather than on a file by file basis, basically you wan't notice any difference with large files, the real advantage comes when you are ftping loads of small files- works like any normal ftp client without using avalaunch

but there's more advantages than boost that i'd still get without using avalaunch, right?
