Qwix Upload Prob
« on: March 18, 2004, 03:24:00 AM »

Hi,

I have just tried uploading DTM race driver 2 to my xbox hdd, but it wont let me because of a file error...incorrectly named.

i tried deleting file, uploads file but game dont work.

i have tried hddloader and that says unable to copy to hdd because a filename is too long.

i have burnt the game to disc and it works fine,

anyone know a way around this??????????/

Cheers

If you don't have the fix for the game you may want to get that.
Info here is taken from ind-dtm2inthddfix.nfo. I just added simple things people new to the scene might not get that the nfo didn't have.

This file fails on the transfer because of a long file name:

PostProduction_ScalarDepthVelocityTransformShader.xvu
(If you backed the game up from a REAL game like I did, you need to
look for ion_ScalarDepthVelocityTran.xvu depending on what you used
to backup your game. Each ripping program may be different in how it
handles long filenames)

rename whatever your file is to:

PostProduction_ScalarDepthVelocityTran.xvu

and transfer it to the shaders dir or just rename the file if it is already on the xbox.

replace game.xbe with the game.xbe included here

If you want to remove the intro, just rename default.xbe to default-REM, or default-INTRO and rename this fixed game.xbe to default.xbe.

Hope this helps
