I need some help patching a couple of xbe's for a game ive got.  i use qwix and use the patch xbe tool.  when i patch the file, qwix makes a copy of the file only renamed .bak.  ex.  i patched default.xbe and default.bak showed up in the folder where the xbe was.  what am i supposed to do with this bat file?  neither of the files will work so i was wondering how exactly the patcher works.

It probably means you need a different type of patch for that title.  Qwix just does a basic media check patch to allow the title to run from a HDD.  Not all titles work with just that basic patch.  Your best bet is to look for messages pertaining to the title you're having problems with, and see how people solved it.

thanks, im having problems with the james bond everything or nothign game, just wanted to see if i could do it with qwix instead of trying to find it.
