Audio Problem

I am having a problem with my Avalaunch.  Recently when I play games and dvd's, the voices are gone.  For example, in Madden and Pro Evolution soccer I can hear the background noise just not the commentary.  On the spiderman 2 dvd I can hear the background noise but none of the dialoge.  They worked fine before.  I have checked my connections and my audio options.  Can anyone please help?  Is it the mod chip or is it avalaunch?
