Text Lcd Issues

I just installed a SmartXX chip with an LCD display.  I love the thing to peices.  Only issus I have seen after getting it all configured, is that while some titles when launched display correctly ( for example "Midnight Club 2") others do not ( example "out 2" rather then "Burnout 2"). The name shows up correctly in the menu, so I don't think its the XBE title and all other text is displayed correctly (in smartxx, xbmc, dvd2xbox and the avalaunch booting "getting ip" stuff).  Is support a little too young at this point?  Are there some hidden XML settings perhapse?  

For reference, I am using a 4x20 character display.
