running ava 4.9 i get "fixed invalid date setting" come up as avalaunch is booting does anyone know why

The xbox clock doesn't have a battery backup. So when you unplug it, the clock will have an invalid setting. Avalaunch fixes this by setting the date to a valid date (not the real date of course, unless you're getting the time from an SNTP server).

the clock on the xboxdash is correct i always set it after i have unplugged the box as i know this has certain affects on software so what could it be ?

ps i just double checked I switched off chip booted original dash and set time again even thou it was already set and set daylight saving to yes then switched off put chip on and booted avalaunch it came on with no message and time was correct then i rebooted and then the message came up again and the time had jumped about an hour and a half forward. Any ideas ???????????????

That's strange. I really haven't got a clue... Have to look into it more closely.

what you need is not avalaunch knowledge - but xbox knowledge.  Avalaunch only lets you know that something got messed up, and that it straightened it out for you.

Find someone that can fix your xbox if this is that serious problem

joker i just posted in a few forums to spread the chances of getting an answer but anyone i think ive sussed it. I reflashed with m8_16 1mb instead of flashbios/m8_16 1mb and so far its kept time so this experiment can now be noted for all to read.

Found out that the chip wasnt flashed properly i had originally flashed with 1 and two containing flash bios 2.6 and 3 and 4 containing m8_16 now i have flashed all with m8_16 and its fine so far.

do u means flash 1mb M8_16,the clock will still switching back to some weird time?
coz i have the same problem....if i m not wrong, u connect ur box to internet too?
