After i installed my mod chip and flashed it with the evox bios my thomson dvd drive stopped working. I tried to install a cd rom drive from my old computer into my xbox. I put the cd rom into slave mode and i bought a power splitter. I hooked the power cable from the xbox into the power splitter then i took one male end of the splitter and put it into my hard drive and the other into the cd rom. I put the ide cable from the xbox dvd drive and hooked it into the cd rom drive. I left the yellow cable in the dvd drive. I tried it out but it doesnt work. It went the the screen where it says that the xbox needs assistance. I opened the drive and put in a cdrw with the evox dashboard on it into the cd rom drive and powered down. When i booted the system back up it just stopped on the screen with the X. Does anyone have any idea why this is??
