Very good tut. There aren't enough on using the many features of Ava, including the IRC client. This could be very useful and I would like to see it pinned (not that anyone cares what I say though)

BTW - what is Complex Tools? I don't think I've run accross it. Usual places?

Glad to see other think this is useful.

The best thing to do to find info about apps you don't know (like maybe complex tools) is to go to www.xbins.org and do an nfo search.

Maybe the AVA team could look into adding rar support. Did the complex team ever open source it (due to GPL elements)?

hey nice one jiz-king, does this work with avalaunch 0.484, cos i'm sure i tried something along similar lines to connect to the xbmp-xbmc ftp server and the address i gave it for the ip address didn't work- (its less complicated coss you don't have to irc to generate the username)

I was under the impression it needed to be a real "ip address" (e.g. 192.168.100.25)

anyway will try this when i get back- that would be so cool.

Complex Tools is a great program just urared and ftped a game on the fly from pc to xbox with samba share, man thats gonna save serious amounts of hd space! and it plays music while it does it too
